Suzanne Akbari

Suzanne Akbari is a Visiting Professor focused on Gender in Manuscript Cultures. Her research explores medieval literature, manuscript transmission, and cultural exchange along the Silk Road, with current work examining gender representation in textual artefacts.

Primary research domains include: medieval concepts of periodization, feminist reappraisals of historical texts, cross-cultural encounters in medieval manuscripts, and modern appropriations of medieval history.
