Ronit Yoeli-Tlalim is a Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies fellow at the University of Pennsylvania (2024–2025), specializing in the history of Eurasian medicine and the cross-cultural transmission of medical knowledge along the Silk Roads. Her work adopts an interconnected, transnational perspective to explore historical medical practices.
Her research focuses on the interplay between medical traditions, cultural interactions, and knowledge dissemination across Eurasia. By examining the Silk Roads as a dynamic network of exchange, her work challenges Eurocentric narratives and highlights the role of intercultural dialogue in shaping medical histories.
