Prof. Suvi Stolt is a faculty member at the Department of Speech Therapy, University of Helsinki, with affiliations to the Faculty of Medicine and collaborations with Helsinki University Hospital and University of Turku. She supervises doctoral programs in Cognition, Learning, Teaching and Communication and Clinical Research.

Research Interests focus on early language development, particularly in preterm children, using tools like the FinCDI-SF and CDI III. Her work examines:
- Predictive relationships between early language skills and later educational outcomes
- Intervention efficacy for children with or at risk for language disorders
- Cross-sectional studies of lexical and grammatical development
- Multidisciplinary approaches to language assessment
