Dr Susie Miles is a Professor of Inclusive Education at the Manchester Institute of Education, University of Manchester. She previously served as Associate Dean for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (2019-2022) and founded the Enabling Education Network (EENET) in 1997 to advance global inclusive education. Her work bridges academic research with practical policy, focusing on equitable education access for marginalized groups, especially disabled children in developing countries.
Her teaching includes leading the MA in International Education's 'Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in International Education' course. Research interests span inclusive education in the Global South, participatory visual methods (e.g., photovoice), and supplementary education in the UK. She has collaborated with UNESCO, UNICEF, and Save the Children UK, among others, and received the 2020 Diversity in the Curriculum award.
