Susie Marshall is a Lecturer in Mathematics Education and Associate Tutor in Educational Leadership & Policy at the University of Glasgow’s School of Education. She transitioned to academia in 2016 after a career in primary education, including roles as Deputy Head of a London primary school and mathematics consultant across Scotland. Her academic background includes a Master’s degree focused on teachers’ perceptions of developing mathematical language in classrooms.
Hold a Master’s degree in Education, with her dissertation examining teachers’ perspectives on fostering mathematical language in primary education.
Her research interests span mathematics education, curriculum reform, and teacher development, with emphasis on inclusive practices and the interplay of creativity, culture, and faith in education.
