Sushil Jajodia is a University Professor and BDM International Professor at George Mason University, where he directs the Center for Secure Information Systems within the Volgenau School of Engineering. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Information and Software Engineering (1998-2002) and held leadership roles at the National Science Foundation (Database and Expert Systems Program), Naval Research Laboratory (Database and Distributed Systems Section), and the University of Missouri, Columbia (Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies).

His research focuses on information secrecy, privacy, integrity, and availability across military, civil, and commercial sectors. He has authored/coauthored 6 books, edited 38 books/proceedings, published over 400 refereed papers, and holds 8 patents with pending applications.
