Susetta Doucette

Susetta Doucette is an educator and academic professional affiliated with the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). She has served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching (DGCE) and has extensive experience in early childhood education, curriculum development, and community engagement. Sue holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching from Fitchburg State University, a B.A. in Sociology from North Adams State College (now MCLA), and an A.A. in Human Services from Berkshire Community College. She has taught courses such as EDUC 420 Classroom Management/Teaching Strategies and EDUC 460 Childcare Administration at institutions including BCC, MCLA, and Elms College since 2015.

Her career spans roles as a classroom teacher, administrator, workshop trainer, television producer and host, and curriculum materials developer. She has presented at local, statewide (MA), and national conferences, including the NAEYC Professional Development Institute 2011. Sue co-founded the Wee Read initiative in Pittsfield and contributed to the Berkshire Museum publication In Kindergarten. Currently, she serves as President of the Berkshire County Head Start Board of Directors and is a Board member of Pittsfield Community Television.
