Susanne Wish-Baratz is Professor of Anatomy at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she directs the medical anatomy course and develops mixed reality applications including HoloAnatomy and HoloNeuroanatomy for Microsoft HoloLens.
Education includes:
- BS and MS from Tufts University (Summa Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa)
- Post-baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy from Tel Aviv University
- PhD in Anatomy from Tel Aviv University
- Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University
Research focuses on innovative anatomy education methodologies, particularly the integration of mixed reality technologies with traditional dissection. She developed the multi-modal GARLA curriculum (Gross Anatomy, Radiology and Living Anatomy) implemented at the Health Education Campus.
Publications examine educational technology efficacy, comparative learning methodologies, and anatomical research. Recent work focuses on mHealth applications, physical fitness epidemiology, and medical education reform.

- Kaiser-Permanente Excellence in Teaching Award (2011)
- Academy of Scholar Educators Induction (2017)
As faculty director of Anatomy Camp, she oversees programs engaging underrepresented minority students through medical student-led education about wellness and the human body.
Leads anatomy education initiatives in the Department of Anatomy and collaborates with the Interactive Commons on mixed reality development.
