معرفی
Susanne Koch is a PostDoc and Group Leader of the AEM Electrolysis group at Hahn-Schickard, collaborating with the Institute of Microsystem Technology (IMTEK) at the University of Freiburg. Her research focuses on electrochemical energy systems, particularly improving the performance and durability of anion-exchange membrane water electrolyzers. She holds a PhD from Hahn-Schickard, awarded in March 2023 for her work on electrode engineering for AEM electrolyzers.
Her academic background includes a physics degree from the University of Konstanz, with a Bachelor's thesis on defects in perovskite solar cells during a semester abroad in Seattle, USA. She extended this research in her Master’s, focusing on ion migration and defects in perovskite solar cells.
Key research interests span electrochemical energy storage, renewable energy materials, and nanostructured systems. Her publications address advancements in perovskite solar cells and electrolysis technologies. She received the f-Cell award 2022 for contributions to research and development in electrochemical systems.
Current projects emphasize optimizing AEM electrolyzers for industrial applications. Her lab, part of the Electrochemical Energy Systems group, collaborates on microsystem technologies for sustainable energy solutions.
