Susanne Heinicke

Susanne Heinicke is a Professor at the Institute for Physics Education at the University of Münster, where she has been employed since October 2016. Previously, she served as a Junior Professor at the same institution from January 2014 to September 2016 and as an Academic Councillor of the Physics Didactics Group at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg from October 2011 to December 2012. She holds a doctorate in philology from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (2007-2011).

Her research focuses on visualizations and creative design of scientific lessons, empirical research on interests and personality traits, language-sensitive physics teaching, inclusion-oriented physics education, climate education, and digital media in physics lessons. She leads multiple research projects including 'AufGZeichnet' (since 2021), 'Effektvolle Experimentiervideos und Workbookportal' (2020-2024), and 'Lehr-Lern-Labore' (2019-2023).
