Dr. Susanne Beck is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems Management & Analytics Group at Warwick Business School (WBS). She focuses on the management and organization of scientific knowledge production, particularly in open innovation contexts. Her work spans AI's transformative potential in research collaboration, interdisciplinary design for scientific teams, and the role of digital technologies in enabling distant collaborations.
Her research employs mixed methodologies, including experiments, surveys, interviews, and archival analysis. Notable awards include recognition from the Academy of Management, European Academy of Management, and R&D Management Conference. She is actively involved in the scientific community: serving as Representative-at-Large of the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) division of the Academy of Management, co-organizing the annual Open Innovation in Science (OIS) conference (100+ participants), and coordinating large international collaborative publications with up to 50 co-authors.
Beck has contributed to special issues in journals like Industry and Innovation and edited publications with Oxford University Press. Her teaching spans MSc and MBA programs, covering modules such as Digital Business Services, Digital Transformation, and Managing Digital Innovation.
