Dr Bo Kelestyn is an Associate Professor and Course Director for the MSc in Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation at the Warwick Business School (WBS). She specializes in design thinking, innovation, and interdisciplinary pedagogy, leading initiatives such as the Warwick Secret Challenge and Challenge X. As the Undergraduate Student Engagement Lead, she focuses on fostering community and belonging through co-creation. Bo is the founder of the Leadership for Educational Transformation programme supporting Ukraine's education reform and co-lead of the Designing Together LinkedIn community. She holds prestigious accolades, including the Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) and Fellowship of Enterprise Educators UK (FEEUK).
Bo’s education includes degrees from Warwick Business School and Durham Business School. Her research emphasizes design thinking applications in education and sustainability, with notable publications in the International Journal of Management and Applied Research and Journal of Chemical Education. She pioneered the Student Experience by Design podcast and co-founded the Warwick Design Thinking Award. Her work bridges academia and practice, championing inclusive education and social justice in higher education.
Bo’s initiatives include the Change Maker Book Club (funded by the Inclusive Education Fund), the Warwick Sustainability Challenge, and collaborations with The Guardian Masterclasses. Her professional network extends through teaching modules like Design Thinking for Digital Innovation (IB2630) and Digital Business (IB2B40), reflecting her commitment to equipping students with innovative, employability-driven skills.
