Dr. Melody Zou is an Associate Professor at Warwick Business School (WBS), specializing in Information Systems. She holds a PhD from City University of Hong Kong and has held visiting positions at the University of Hong Kong and Clemson University. Her research focuses on post-adoption/-purchase behaviors, particularly Technology Extra-Role Behavior, and has been published in top journals like Information Systems Research and Journal of the Association for Information Systems. She serves as an Associate Editor for ICIS, ECIS, and PACIS since 2018, and co-Track Chair for ECIS 2025/2026.
Dr. Zou teaches Digital Business and Research Methodology, supervising students at all levels. She has received consecutive WBS Teaching Excellence Awards (2020–2024) and the AIS Early Career Award (2023). Her leadership roles include founding internal seminars, coordinating external seminars, and co-chairing the WBS-ESSEC-HEC Paris IS Workshop (2022).
Her research interests span IT adoption, human-technology interaction, voluntary contributions, and digital platforms. She is recognized as an AIS Distinguished Member (2024) and has received Best Associate Editor Awards from ICIS/ECIS. She actively bridges academia and practice through conference leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration.
