Susannah Mintz is a Professor in the English Department at Skidmore College. Her research and teaching focus on intersecting themes of disability studies, life writing, and literary analysis, alongside expertise in seventeenth-century British literature and creative nonfiction.

Her scholarship explores the representation of disability in contemporary crime fiction, the suffering body in literature, and intersections of identity in autobiographical forms. She also examines seventeenth-century poetry and prose, particularly Milton's works and their cultural implications.
Her creative writing spans prose poetry, flash nonfiction, and essays in journals such as Sonora Review, Ninth Letter, and Best New Poets 2016. She has co-edited significant encyclopedic resources on disability studies.
