Dr. Susan Sullivan is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex. She holds roles as Course Director for the MSc Psychology (Conversion) and co-Lead for the MSc Marketing & Consumer Psychology. Her research focuses on interventions to improve emotion recognition in older adults and reading comprehension in children with sensory impairments. She has contributed to funded projects, including a £66,072 study (2014–2016) on interventions for visually impaired readers. Sullivan earned a 1st-class BSc and PhD in Psychology from Sussex, followed by a research fellowship. She has taught Developmental Psychology at the University of the West Indies and collaborated extensively with Prof. Jane Oakhill on reading comprehension projects.
