Susan Sayce is an Associate Professor and researcher in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. She serves as Director of the Employment, Systems and Institutions group, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her work focuses on diversity, pension trusteeship, labor systems, and feminist academia. She contributes to editorial boards including Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Equality and Diversity.
Her research explores trustee motivations, pension governance diversification, and Bourdieu's social theory applications. She has conducted fieldwork in the UK and Canada, supported by Canadian Government scholarships (2008, 2011). Recent projects include USS trustee selection reforms and social entrepreneurship studies in Saudi Arabia.
Teaching responsibilities include leading the MSc in HR, teaching Global Career Management and Managing People in Organisations. She supervises PhD students on topics like gender pay gaps, Jordanian career sociology, and Nigerian executive boards.
Professional memberships include the British Universities Industrial Relations Society and SSHRC pension advisory work. She actively engages with practitioner networks like the TUC Trustee Group and Pension Regulator.
