Susan Odem is an adjunct professor and music teaching artist in the Department of Music at Simpson College, specializing in oboe instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master of Music from Drake University. Ms. Odem is a professional oboist, performing with the Des Moines Symphony and chamber ensemble Lyric Winds. In addition to her college teaching, she maintains a private studio teaching oboe and bassoon to students in grades 5–12.
