Susan Morrison

Susan Morrison is a researcher and oral history teacher affiliated with the Scottish Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde since 2010. She is also an oral history consultant.

Education:

• PhD in History (2007) from Glasgow Caledonian University, focusing on silicosis in Scotland.
• M.Phil. in History (2003) from the University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde, studying silicosis causality.
• Bachelor's in History (1997-2001) from the University of Strathclyde, with a dissertation on coalworkers' pneumoconiosis.

Research Interests:

• Medical and occupational history, particularly industrial diseases like silicosis and pneumoconiosis.
• Impact of legislation on workplace health in 20th-century Scotland.
• Oral history methodologies applied to documenting labor and health experiences.
