Dr. Susan Minten is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business Management at the Management School, serving as Director of Studies for the Online MSc Sport Business and Management program since 2016. She teaches leadership and sports operations management across various MBA and MSc programs, including the Thoroughbred Horseracing Industries MBA. Her expertise spans leadership theory, graduate employability, and organizational culture change in elite sports. She coordinates numerous modules such as Leadership in Sport, Sports Operations and Events, and Sports Business Analytics.

Her research focuses on graduate employability in sports industries, leadership education, and cultural transformation in elite sports teams. She contributes to the Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism Education as a subject editor and co-authored the textbook Human Resource Management in the Sport and Leisure Industry. Recent publications explore leadership theory applications and assessment design in business education.
Prior to academia, she worked in sports facilities management and remains active as a community director at Burnley Leisure Trust. She delivers executive leadership programs for organizations across small businesses to elite sports entities.
