Susan Lettera

Susan Lettera serves as the MSW Program Coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Program at Marywood University's School of Social Work. She is an Adjunct Professor with part-time faculty status, having joined the adjunct team in 2021 before assuming her current administrative role in 2023 following her retirement from Lehigh County Children and Youth.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Sociology minor from Marywood University in 1987, later earning a Master's in Public Administration from Kutztown University and a Master's in Social Work through Widener University's Child Welfare Educational Leadership Program. These credentials underpin her extensive practical experience in social services administration.

Her professional focus centers on Social Work with specialized expertise in Child Welfare systems, Disability Services for developmental and intellectual disabilities, and Public Administration. Her career trajectory—from group home supervisor to Director of Integrated Services at Lehigh County—demonstrates deep commitment to vulnerable populations and systemic improvement in social services delivery.

Susan's leadership philosophy emphasizes resilience through failure, cultivated during her formative Marywood years. Her current program coordination role leverages 22 years of frontline experience to shape MSW curriculum development and student training in the Lehigh Valley region, maintaining her lifelong connection to her alma mater.
