Susan Kahlenberg

Susan Kahlenberg is a Professor in the Department of Media & Communication. She specializes in analyzing how media representations of vitality, power, and identity influence societal attitudes.

Her research focuses on media portrayals of gender, race, occupation, and marriage in prime-time television, as well as stereotypes of intelligence in popular media. She teaches courses on Media and Society, Gender, Communication, and Culture, and Health Communication.
