Susan Forde is a Professor of Journalism at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia, based at the Griffith Centre for Social Cultural Research. She has authored three books and over fifty scholarly publications in media and journalism studies.
Her research centers on community-based media, alternative media, and social movement media, with specialized focus on multicultural, Indigenous, and local community contexts. As founding editor of the Journal of Alternative & Community Media alongside Professor Chris Atton, she has significantly shaped academic discourse in this field.
