Susan Carney Lynch serves as an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University Law School while concurrently holding the position of Senior Counsel for Elder Justice at the United States Department of Justice. At the DOJ, she leads national investigations into long-term care facilities and heads the Department's 10 Elder Justice Task Forces focused on prosecuting health care fraud and conducting community outreach.

Dr. Lynch specializes in elder justice and health care fraud prosecution, leveraging her dual expertise in law and public health. As the DOJ's subject matter expert on skilled nursing facilities, she pioneered civil prosecutions against negligent care providers and frequently speaks at major forums including the Institute of Medicine and American Health Lawyers Association. Her work bridges legal advocacy with public health policy to protect vulnerable elderly populations.
