Susan B Kesmodel

Susan B. Kesmodel, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Breast Surgical Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She specializes in breast surgical oncology, with clinical and research focuses on optimizing local therapy, reducing lymphedema, and improving aesthetic outcomes in breast cancer patients. Dr. Kesmodel earned her MD from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and completed her surgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She co-leads the Breast Site Disease Group at Sylvester and serves as Medical Director of the SCCC Operating Room. Her work emphasizes multidisciplinary care and advancing breast cancer treatments through collaboration with basic scientists.
