Tina W. F. Yen

Dr. Tina W. F. Yen is a Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), specializing in Surgical Oncology with a focus on breast and endocrine cancers. She serves as Co-Director of the GEO Shared Resource, Interim Program Leader of the MCW Cancer Center Breast Disease-Oriented Team, and Program Director of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship. Her clinical practice is dedicated to breast cancer and endocrine tumors (thyroid/parathyroid).

Education: MD from Harvard Medical School (1995), MS in Epidemiology from MCW (2006), surgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson (2004). She holds leadership roles in national surgical societies including the American College of Surgeons and Society of Surgical Oncology.

Research interests include breast cancer care quality, healthcare disparities, and endocrine surgical outcomes. Current projects examine lymphedema risk factors, axillary surgery variability, and the impact of urban greenspace on cardiovascular outcomes in breast cancer patients. Her work is funded by the National Cancer Institute and multiple foundations.
