Professor Supriya Singh is an Honorary Professor in the School of Law at RMIT University, Australia. Her research focuses on migration and remittances, sociology of money, communication, gender studies, mobile money systems, and globalization's impact on financial and social structures. She explores transnational family dynamics, particularly among Indian migrants to Australia, analyzing how money flows shape cultural identities and community networks. Her work bridges sociology, economics, and cultural studies, addressing issues like remittance management, gendered economic practices, and the transformation of traditional family structures in diaspora communities. Professor Singh is actively engaged in supervising Masters and PhD research students, contributing to academic discourse on global migration and socio-economic systems.
