Sunny Jeong, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Business & Economics at Wittenberg University, specializing in Management. She holds affiliations with multiple institutions, including Seoul National University and international universities like the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her roles include teaching, research, and consultancy, with a focus on cross-cultural leadership, spirituality in management, and social entrepreneurship.
Dr. Jeong earned a Ph.D. in Recreation, Sport and Tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2008), an M.S. in Library and Information Science (2007), and degrees from Seoul National University in Education (M.Ed., 1999; B.A., 1997).
Her research explores spirituality’s role in management, including Amish business ethics, cross-cultural dynamics, and inclusive leadership. She advocates for experiential learning, emphasizing global citizenship and overcoming cultural biases through workshops, simulations, and service projects.
Recipient of awards like the Outstanding Service Award (2019) and Provost’s Teaching Award (2014), Dr. Jeong has advised students and consulted for organizations like Honda, Samsung, and the University of Chicago. Her grants include the Focal Point Research Grant ($12k, 2012).
She collaborates with global institutions such as Seoul National University and partners with multinational companies like Alibaba and Toyota to advance international business strategies and cultural competence.
