Sunny Brysch

Sunny Brysch is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Program Director for American Sign Language Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With a master’s in clinical social work from Augsburg College and ASL certification from St. Paul College, she transitioned from mental health therapy to education. Previously coordinating ASL programs at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, her vision emphasizes cultural preservation, inclusivity, and allyship development through the '5 Cs': culture, community, cooperation, communication, and collaboration.

She advocates for integrating Deaf community values into academic programs to ensure graduates promote linguistic diversity and accessibility.
