Professor Sumit Kane is a globally recognized academic in health systems research at the University of Melbourne's Nossal Institute for Global Health within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health. With over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, policy research, and academic leadership, he has held key roles including Head of Unit - Social & Cultural Dimensions of Health Systems (2018–Current) and Senior Lecturer at KIT Royal Tropical Institute (2008–2017). His work bridges theoretical insights from sociology with practical applications in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) across Asia, Africa, and beyond.
