Professor Sue Sherman is a Professor of Psychology and School Co-Director of Education at the University of Sheffield's School of Psychology. Her research focuses on public health, particularly immunization barriers/facilitators (HPV, varicella, and cervical screening), and cognitive psychology, including false memory phenomena. She leads an NIHR-funded project exploring cervical screening barriers for physically disabled individuals, collaborating with The Eve Appeal and Keele University. Her work emphasizes health equity and patient/public involvement, with a PPI co-investigator on her grant. She has also contributed to cognitive psychology textbooks and served roles like BPS Cognitive Section Chair and Deputy Chair of the BPS Research Board.
