Sue Kesterton

Sue Kesterton is an Exercise, Health and Wellbeing Officer and Honorary Public Health Hub Associate at Sheffield Hallam University. She holds an MSc in Exercise Science and Wellness (2005) and a BSc in Biology, Exercise and Health from Oxford Brookes University. Her roles include Associate Lecturer and guest tutor in Physical Activity for Health programs.

• Specializes in Workplace Wellness, Clinical Exercise Interventions, and Behavior Change for chronic conditions like diabetes, cancer, and cardiac rehabilitation.
• Trained over 200 managers and 100 healthcare professionals in health promotion.
• Conducts applied research with NHS collaborations and leads SHUWellness, a staff wellbeing service.

Research focuses on exercise efficacy for venous ulcers, workplace health programs, and public health interventions. Nominated for an international young researcher award in 2019. Serves on Sheffield City Council’s wellbeing steering committee and reviews for the Health Education Journal.
