Sue Horder is an Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Faculty of Social and Life Sciences, Wrexham University, where she leads the Education Department, Youth and Community, and Animal Science subject area at the Northop Campus. She joined the university in 2006 as a Senior Lecturer after a career in Further Education, where she taught ICT, Web Design, Business Studies, and Essential Skills.
- Formerly collaborated with Airbus to establish a Learning Resource Centre in Broughton
- Recognized as Learning Centre Manager of the Year (2004)
- Current focus on improving learning, teaching, and assessment quality across the Faculty
Her research interests align with education pedagogy, community engagement, and interdisciplinary applications of ICT in teaching. Sue contributes to PGCE/Cert Ed and various undergraduate/postgraduate programs, blending her technical and educational expertise.
Scientific Awards:
- Learning Centre Manager of the Year (2004) at World of Learning Conference (WOLCE)
As a Senior Lecturer, Sue continues to influence academic leadership while maintaining her teaching responsibilities. She also collaborates with industry partners to enhance educational resources.
