Sudha Ratan is a Professor at Augusta University's Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on U.S. foreign policy in Afghanistan, regional geopolitical dynamics, and gender participation in South Asian governance. Notable publications include analyses of the Trump administration's Afghanistan strategy and case studies on women's political roles in Tamil Nadu. She has provided briefings to U.S. military and legal divisions on transborder security issues.
Ratan has served in various roles, including committee member for promotion and tenure, faculty advisor to the Indian Cultural Exchange student group, and guest speaker for bioethics courses.
