Subhrendu K. Pattanayak is the Oak Foundation Distinguished Professor of Environmental and Energy Policy at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. He holds joint appointments in the Department of Economics (Trinity College of Arts & Sciences), Environmental Sciences and Policy (Nicholas School of the Environment), and the Duke Global Health Institute. His research focuses on environmental policy, energy transitions, public health, and development economics, with an emphasis on low-income tropical regions.
Education: PhD (1997) from Duke University, MS (1992) from Purdue University, BA (1990) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
