Subhajit Pal

Dr. Subhajit Pal is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the School of Engineering and Materials Science, Queen Mary University of London, working under the supervision of Prof. Joe Briscoe. He is a member of the Centre for Sustainable Engineering and contributes to an ERC CoG 2020-funded project on "FErroelectric NanoComposites for Enhanced Solar energy efficiency."

• Previous Experience: Postdoctoral research at the Center for Nanoscience & Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, focusing on picometer displacement measurements using LDV technique.

Research Focus revolves around the physical properties of ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and dielectric materials, particularly their photovoltaic, photo-ferroelectric, and electrostriction behaviors. His work bridges centro- and non-centrosymmetric systems, using AFM-based characterization to develop next-generation solar cell devices and Li-S battery technologies. Key themes include defect engineering, domain wall manipulation, and hybrid ferroelectric-semiconductor composites.
