Stuart Woodcock is an Associate Professor at Griffith University's School of Education and Professional Studies, affiliated with the Griffith Institute for Educational Research. He holds adjunct roles at the University of Queensland, University of South Australia, and University of Thessaly. With a PhD from the University of Wollongong, his research focuses on inclusive education, teacher self-efficacy, classroom management, and cross-cultural educational policies. His work spans Australia, the UK, North America, and China. Recent research examines teacher induction, student support systems, and the psychometric validation of educational scales.
Woodcock has led or co-authored over 100 research outputs, including studies on inclusive pedagogy, martial arts-based interventions for self-efficacy, and collective efficacy frameworks. He supervises doctoral and master’s students in special education, teacher training, and policy analysis. Funded projects include investigations into early career teacher support and the design of inclusive university programs.
His professional activities include editorial roles for the Australasian Journal of Special and Inclusive Education and Children, as well as advisory work with the Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools. He actively engages in global educational networks, including the Consortium of Inclusive Teacher Education and Development.
