Stuart Robertson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom. He has held academic positions at Strathclyde since 2009, including Chancellor's Fellow and Royal Society of Edinburgh BP Trust Research Fellow. His research is centered on main group and bimetallic chemistry with applications in sustainable energy technologies.

He employs advanced techniques such as multinuclear NMR, X-ray crystallography, and inert atmosphere synthesis. His work emphasizes sustainability and economic viability, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to clean energy.
His recent publications highlight trends in lithium dihydropyridinate isomerism, magnesium coordination chemistry, and strategies to mitigate polysulfide shuttling in lithium-sulfur batteries.
