Stokes Martin is an academic specializing in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Anthropology of music. He has held prestigious positions at institutions including The Queen's University of Belfast, University of Chicago, Oxford University, King’s College London, and University of California, Berkeley. Currently affiliated with King’s College London as the King Edward Professor of Music and serving as a Visiting Professor at Berkeley, he has made significant contributions to the study of music anthropology and Middle Eastern studies.
