Stine Thidemann Faber is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Aalborg University, affiliated with The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. She holds a PhD in Sociology and leads research initiatives through groups like CASTOR and EDGE. Her work focuses on gender, climate awareness, parenting, and social differentiation using qualitative methods like interviews and ethnography.
Current projects include 'PARENT' (examining therapeutic influences in parenting) and 'MANTRA' (exploring gender norms in green transitions). Key awards include the 2009 KRAKA-prisen. She has published extensively, with recent works addressing parenting courses, masculinities and climate change, and pandemic-related inequalities.
Her research contributes to UN SDGs like Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Climate Action (SDG 13). She has advised two PhD students and collaborates globally on projects like RESISTIRÉ, addressing pandemic impacts on social equality.
Her academic activities include external examinations, conference participation, and media engagement on gender issues in education and STEM fields.
