Stian Øyre Caspersen is a Doctoral Research Fellow and Research Fellow at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, University of Oslo. He holds a part-time position as Senior Counsel at Haavind's Aquaculture, Offshore, and Industry department. His PhD project, funded by FME NorthWind, focuses on optimal contracting techniques in complex offshore wind projects from legal and operational perspectives. Stian earned a law degree from the University of Oslo and an MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU.
Academic interests include general contract law, construction contracts, negotiations, and law and economics. He has extensive industry experience, including roles at SLB OneSubsea and Aker Solutions in legal and operational management within oil/gas and renewable energy sectors. His work contributes to sustainable offshore wind development under NorthWind's WP5.
