Stewart Gold is a Researcher at the Institute of Political Science, part of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. Since 2002, he has been an employee at the department, serving as a research assistant (since 2016 on the 'smart factory' project) and project assistant since 2006. His doctoral thesis, "One Way – Studies on the Trajectory of Czech Old-Age Pensions Under Consideration of the Concept of Path Dependency," reflects his expertise in welfare state dynamics and path dependency theories.

He has contributed to projects such as LET (Linking Europe in Transition), INPUT, PIA, and GOE, focusing on intercultural work, social dialogue, and EU policy analysis. These projects were funded by the European Commission and regional bodies like the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Labour.
In his roles, Gold has supported project coordination, media development, and graphic design, particularly in digital platforms. His work emphasizes practical applications of research in addressing demographic challenges and fostering social cohesion across Europe.
