معرفی
Dr. Steven William Thompson is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Product Engineering) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering, both from UNSW (2019 and 2023, respectively). His research focuses on synthesizing sequence-defined multiblock copolymers and leveraging hydrogen bonding in polymer latexes for self-healing and film-strengthening applications. Key areas include RAFT polymerization, nanoparticle morphology control, and the development of advanced materials for energy storage and coatings.
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Product Engineering), UNSW, 2019
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, UNSW, 2023
Research Interests:
- Block copolymer synthesis via RAFT polymerization
- Hydrogen bonding in emulsion systems
- Nanocomposite materials and self-healing polymers
- Applications in coatings and energy storage
Labs/Teams: While no specific labs are mentioned, his work aligns with UNSW’s strengths in materials science and polymer engineering.
