Dr. Nathaniel (Nat) Corrigan is an ARC DECRA Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), affiliated with the School of Chemical Engineering and the Cluster for Advanced Macromolecular Design (CAMD). His research focuses on light-driven polymer synthesis, particularly in 3D printing and advanced materials. He has pioneered techniques like ultra-fast PET-RAFT polymerization for 3D printing, enabling streamlined production of macromolecular materials.
Education: PhD in Polymer Science/Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Hons. 1) from UNSW. Research areas include polymer design, photochemistry, flow-mediated reactions, and applications in nanomedicine. Notably, he was a finalist for the Reaxys PhD Prize (2020).
Grants include ARC DECRA (DE240100917), UNSW GROW Grant, and ARC Discovery Project (DP210100094). His work has been featured in high-impact journals and media like EurekAlert and ABC Radio. He collaborates with institutions like the Australian Centre for Nanomedicine (ACN) and supervises HDR students in polymer science and advanced manufacturing.
