Steven W Kopp is an Associate Professor at the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, specializing in Marketing/Transportation. After a career in the oilfield services industry, he transitioned to academia, joining the college in 1992. His research focuses on intellectual property in marketing strategy, consumer decision-making for end-of-life products and services, and environmentally sustainable agriculture in Vietnam. He holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

Professor Kopp's research bridges marketing strategy with public policy, examining topics such as eco-friendly rice farming in the Mekong Delta and consumer behavior surrounding funeral services. He has collaborated extensively with Can Tho University and presented findings to regulatory bodies including the US Federal Trade Commission and Vietnam's Hau Giang Provincial Department of Agriculture.
Recent research trends show his focus on sustainable agricultural practices (2018-2024), with multiple studies on rice production in Vietnam. He also explores sonic branding in healthcare (2023) and country-of-origin effects in luxury fashion (2022). His work frequently addresses policy implications and consumer perceptions.

As faculty leader of the Walton College study abroad program in Vietnam (since 2014), Professor Kopp has mentored students collaborating with rural farmers and Peacework, Inc. He currently serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing and will assume leadership of the Academic Advisory Council for Signage Research and Education as president-elect.
