Steven Pike is Associate Professor of Public Relations and Public Diplomacy and Director of Public Diplomacy and Global Communications at Syracuse University's Newhouse School. He teaches courses in public diplomacy, public relations management, and media relations.
Research examines public diplomacy practices, diplomatic identity, and place branding strategies. His work uses Q Methodology to study perceptions of diplomacy and evaluate public diplomacy programs.
Currently co-chair of the Public Diplomacy Council of America's academic study committee and serves on editorial board of the Korean Journal of Public Diplomacy. Previously chaired the public diplomacy interest group at the International Communication Association.
