Steven Friedman, PhD, ABPP is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn. He has taught and supervised psychology interns, medical students, and psychiatry residents in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for over 30 years. His research emphasizes cross-cultural assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, particularly in inner-city populations.
