Angelika C. Gruessner

Angelika C. Gruessner, a Professor in the Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate, specializes in organ transplantation and biostatistics. She has over 600 peer-reviewed publications and has taught research and biostatistics courses to medical students and staff.

• Education: Undergraduate and Advanced Degree in Theoretical Medicine and Biostatistics from Ruprecht-Karl-University, Heidelberg, Germany; Fellowship in Transplant Immunology at Johannes-Gutenberg-University, Mainz, Germany.

Her research spans organ transplantation, big data analysis, and biostatistics, with a focus on clinical studies and randomized trials. She has been affiliated with the University of Minnesota and the University of Arizona before joining SUNY Downstate in 2017.
