Andrew Kamrouz, MD, MPH, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and an Attending Surgeon in the Division of Transplant Surgery. His clinical practice is based at University Hospital at Downstate, where he specializes in kidney and liver transplantation and incorporates robotic surgery into transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) procedures.

- Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California
- Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the University of Southern California
- St. George’s University School of Medicine
Dr. Kamrouz’s research focuses on hepatic injuries, biliary complications, necrotizing soft tissue infections, and liver transplantation. He has contributed to surgical literature through presentations and publications in these areas.

He has served on surgical quality committees and is active in advancing surgical education. Dr. Kamrouz completed his residency at HCA Bayonet Point and a fellowship in Liver Transplantation and HPB Surgery at the Lahey Clinic. He accepts new patients and can be contacted at 718 270-7207.
