Steven Curtis

Steven Curtis is an Assistant Professor at Seattle University and an Affiliate Faculty member in the PsyD Program at Antioch University. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Prescribing Psychologist in New Mexico, he specializes in child clinical psychology, focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders, bilingual assessment, and psychopharmacology. His career spans over 30 years with roles at institutions like the University of Washington School of Medicine, SEARHC in Alaska, and SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted).

• Education: PhD in Professional-Scientific Psychology (Utah State University), MS in School Psychology, BA in Psychology (UCLA), Postdoctoral Master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology (Alliant University), and Diploma in Hispanic Studies (University of Granada, Spain).
• Research Interests: Assessment of children with complex challenges (autism, dyslexia, mood disorders), prescription privileges for psychologists, bilingual assessment, and special education interventions.
• Scientific Leadership: President of the APA Society for Prescribing Psychology (Division 55) in 2024, advisory board member of SENG since 2007, and active in Washington State’s RxP Task Force.
