Kris Lauer, PsyD, serves as Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. She completed her BA at Vassar College (2011) and PsyD at Antioch University New England (2018), followed by an APA-accredited internship at Morrison Child and Family Services (Oregon) and post-doctoral work at Mindsights. She holds licensure in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Research Focus
Dr. Lauer specializes in neurodiverse and identity-affirming psychological assessments, with clinical expertise spanning:
- Child and family therapeutic support using play therapy techniques
- Diagnostic evaluation for autism, ADHD, and learning differences
- Trauma-informed interventions and mental health treatment
- Strengthening caregiver-child attachment relationships
Teaching
At Antioch, she instructs graduate courses including:
- Methods of Psychological Assessment: Personality & Emotional Functioning
- Methods of Psychological Assessment: Intelligence & Cognitive Functioning
- Advanced Seminar: Psychological Assessment with Children/Youth
Her prior work includes coordinating social projects in Peru and Argentina.
